Susanta Ghosh, the disciple of Guru Shri Sandip Mallick. A kathak performer, educator, and choreographer from Kolkata, India. He has been awarded a diploma, Sangeet Visharad from Pracheen Kala Kendra. He is an A-graded artist of Doordarshan Kendra, Prasar Bharti. He is trained under Late Pt. Chitresh Das and Guru Shri Sandip Mallick. Simultaneously, he is also privileged to receive in-depth taalim from Padma Vi-Bhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji and Vidushi Saswati Sen by attending regular workshops. He is also very fortunate to learn from the stalwarts like Padma Bhushan Kumudini Lakhia Ji, Guru Sreelekha Mukherjee Ji, Guru Vaswati Mishra Ji, and many others by attending their intense workshops.
Susanta, founded his institute, Nrityanjali Traditional Kathak Institution (NTKI), in 2009 and is dedicated to the preservation and education of Kathak Nritya. At Nrityanjali, students learn Lucknow Gharana (style) of Kathak Nritya, with the aesthetics of the art and the refined subtlety of rendering expression along with the deep understanding and versatility of laya (rhythm) and layakari (virtuosity of rhythm). Here students undergo intricate training which is the perfect state where Mind, Body, and Soul come in an equal bream state.
